The Product Owner (PO) is a member of the extended Product Management team and crucial member of the Product Engineering Agile Team. The PO is responsible to ensure the Product goals are achieved by bringing the product management and leadership vision to life.

A Product Owner is responsible for establishing vision for an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) team. More experienced Product Owners may guide more than one Agile team. The Product Owner prioritizes and manages the health of the team backlog and contributes significantly to team quality. As a part of the Alight organization this role will drive measurable, consistent, predictable portfolio delivery to accelerate and optimize value-add solutions for Alight’s customers.

Responsibilities

Lead daily sessions with cross product engineering teams to resolve questions, provide guidance on Accessibility standards and sign-off on post-remediation demos.
Work internally with multiple product teams and stakeholders to gain in depth knowledge and understanding of the product purpose, details, and scope to act as a bridge between the audit, client, and other teams.
Apply an Agile mindset and behavior to effectively collaborate with the Agile Release Train (ART), team and stakeholder(s).
Leverage Agile estimation, forecasting and economic prioritization (WSJF) tools.
Work and collaborate with Product Management Teams to prioritize and refine the product backlog to ensure vision, goals, and objectives are established and achieved while working closely with the development teams during sprint planning and reviews ensuring clear communication of primary and secondary priorities.
Balance the needs of customers with the realities of technological constraints and business objectives.
Ensure that deliverables meet the acceptance criteria. Provide feedback where criteria are not met.
Test and verify issues, as needed, to ensure accessibility solutions are effective and successful.
Coordinate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and quality control.
Work closely with Scrum Master to report issues that are remediated for migrations and releases.
Assist in identifying, documenting, and reporting of vendor / supplier Accessibility issues while cross collaborating with Relationship Management & Client teams.
Identify, track, manage and report on cross domain and team dependency issues.
Collaborate with Accessibility team to develop, maintain, and socialize Accessibility standard among domain, engineering, and client teams.
Expert ability to work on assigned tasks independently, ensuring that deliverables are met.
Track record using a strategic approach to solve complicated problems.
Analize Accessibility audit reports sent in from clients and provide inputs on severity, correctness etc. and provide updates to client teams after each sprint.
Periodically perform accessibility audits and report on audit findings.
Skill and Knowledge Required:

(4+ years) skills in understanding WCAG 2.1 A and AA
4+ years evaluating web pages for conformance with WCAG 2.1 A and AA
Working in an agile environment with developers, testers, and designers in applying requirements and best practice implementation
4+ years using NVDA
4+ years experience in creating accessible web/app using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
Experience with Angular a plus.
4+ years experience with accessibility audits, creating and analyzing reports covering accessibility issues.
4+ years of evaluating for and implementing Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications WAI/ARIA techniques for web content.
Preferred:

IAAP WAS or CPACC preferred.
B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience desired, but not required.
Have a passion for continuously improving digital experiences for people with disabilities.
