Introduction:

Troubled warrior Senua, is back once again to battle her demons, but this time, she's out for revenge. Or so it seems.

The follow-up to the 2017 hit from Ninja Theory's Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice sees Senua head to Finland to takedown the Northmen who slaughtered her village and killed the love of her life. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is a bombastic and beautiful third person action game that puts the emphasis on the story and the audio-visual experience, while the gameplay takes a bit of a backseat.

Battle Senua's demons, reunite the people of Iceland and put an end to the tyranny of the Northmen.

Step 1 – Play the Game
As was the case in the original, Hellblade II is a super easy 1000Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (3), and thanks to Chapter Select available from launch this time, there are no missable achievements. It’s only likely to set you back around 8-10 hours too, but it's a great 8-10 hours!

Hellblade II’s achievement list is a simple list that, and so long as you get all 35 collectibles as you go, you'll get the vast majority of the achievements without breaking a sweat. And fear not, we have guides for all of those collectibles (one for each of the two collectible types, if you’re missing a specific one; or one for all collectibles, to follow as you play):

  • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2: - All Stone Faces Locations
  • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 - All Lorestangirs Locations

Just make sure you take a photo for the Worth a Thousand Words (25G)achievement and you’ll be golden.

Step 2 - Mop Up:
And finally, once you've done all that. You should have one achievement left to grab: Seeing Things Differently (25G)- which you can get once you’ve finished the game, and will take you all of 15-seconds.

Conclusion:
And there you have it, folks. Once you’ve done all that, you’ll have a really straightforward 1000Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (4), but despite it being quick and easy, the experience is still one that's worth its weight in gold. Hellblade 2 is harrowing, epic, and drop dead gorgeous. Enjoy!

    Tales of Midgard

    100

    Collect all the Lorestangir.

If you played Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, you’ll know what to expect when it comes to Hellblade 2’s Lorestangirs - the Icelandic version of Lorestones.

While the original had a whopping 44 to collect, Hellblade 2 only has 18. However, unlike Senua’s Sacrifice, none of these are on the main path through the game. All 18 require some exploration, but truthfully, they aren’t too difficult to find if you’re being thorough.

They can be found in the following chapters:

    • Chapter 1 - Reykjanesta - 1 x Lorestangir
    • Chapter 2 - Freyslaug - 4 x Lorestangir
    • Chapter 3 - Raudholar - 6 x Lorestangir
    • Chapter 4 - Huldufolk - 3 x Lorestangir
    • Chapter 5 - Bardarvik - 4 x Lorestangir
    • Chapter 6 - Borgarvirki - No collectibles

Thankfully you don’t need to be thorough, though, as we have the guides showing their locations all ready to go (both of which show which sub-chapter they appear in too):

    • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 - All Lorestangirs Locations

Once you’ve unlocked all 18, you’ll not only unlock the the Lorestangir Stories in the Extras menu, as well as the option to change the “Narrator” to the “Others,” but you’ll also unlock the ‘Tales of Midgard’ achievement too. Nice.

  • Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (6)

    Glimpses of the Gods

    100

Reveal secret paths behind hidden faces.

In Hellblade 2 there are 2 collectible types. The newer of the 2 comes in the form of hidden faces, which are usually stone/rock formations that look like faces. If you use Focus on these hidden faces in the game world, a path will open and lead you to a tree, which contains one of the game's Landdisasteinar Stories.

There are 17 to collect in all (starting in chapter 2) and can be found in the following chapters:

    • Chapter 1 - Reykjanesta - No Faces
    • Chapter 2 - Freyslaug - 2 x Faces
    • Chapter 3 - Raudholar - 5 x Faces
    • Chapter 4 - Huldufolk - 4 x Faces
    • Chapter 5 - Bardarvik - 6 x Faces
    • Chapter 6 - Borgarvirki - No collectibles

You can find them all using the following guides:

    • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2: - All Stone Faces Locations

Once you’ve revealed the secret path (you don’t even actually need to interact with the tree for the achievement, but you do if you want to view the Landdisasteinar Stories from the Extras menu) for all 17 locations, the ‘Glimpse of the Gods’ achievement is all yours.

  • Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (7)

    25

    Open photo mode.

It should surprise no-one that Hellblade 2 has both a “photomode” and an “open photo mode” achievement - because of how bloody gorgeous the game can look at times. It’s a stunner, folks.

To get the ‘Worth a Thousand Words’ achievement, simply hit pause, and scroll down to the “Photomode” and click on it. Once you do, the achievement is all yours. You don’t even need to take a photo.

Alternatively, you can also press Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (8) on the d-pad to open up photo mode too! Abracadabra!

After emptying the lake by solving the 3 orb puzzle nearby, you’ll be able to make your way into the land of the Hiddenfolk. Once you have done, and are making your way inside, this achievement will unlock.

The entirety of chapter 5 will see Senua and her band of merry men head to Bardavik to get help to head to Borgavirki, but in order to get Astridr’s help (and her people’s), you need to defeat Saegirr and save the village of Bardavik from almost certain doom. Once you’ve done that, you’ll not only finish chapter 5, but you’ll also unlock ‘The Storm Calmed’ achievement.

  • Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (14)

    A Guiding Light

    100

Guide your followers through the forest to reach Borgavirki.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

After unlocking The Storm Calmed (100G)achievement at the end of chapter 5, part of the beginning of chapter 6 will see you head into the forest of confusion on your way to reaching Borgavirki (Thorgestr’s home).

Once you’ve made it through the trippy woods and got out the otherside, once you get to the steps of Borgavirki, you’ll gain control of Senua again and this achievement will unlock, midway through chapter 6.

  • Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (15)

    End the Tyranny

    150

Expose the Godi’s lies and end the tyranny.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

The ‘End the Tyranny’ achievement is the final story achievement of Hellblade 2, and will unlock after you’ve defeated the final boss and saved the land from the threat of the 3 giants (and more!), which happens at the end of chapter 6.

Do all that and you will just have completed Hellblade 2, and should pretty much have the full 1,000Gs too! Congrats!

  • Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Printable Achievement Guide & Road Map (16)

    Seeing Things Differently

    25

Launch any chapter with an alternate narrator.

In order to unlock the ‘Seeing Things Differently’ achievement, you first have to unlock an alternate narrator. There are two ways to do this:

    • Firstly, to unlock “Druth,” you simply need to find all 18 Lorestangir (which you need to do for Tales of Midgard (100G)achievement anyway).
    • And secondly, simply completing the main story will unlock the “Others” narrator.

Then, you just need to go to Settings > Audio > and under Narrator at the top, choose one of the two aforementioned options. Then, go to Chapter Select and choose any chapter. Do that and the ‘Seeing Things Differently’ achievement is all yours.

Incidentally, you can also watch either the Landdisasteinar Stories or Lorestangir Stories in the Extras menu too, which is how I got it. And presumably, you can exit the game after getting the 18th Lorestangir to “unlock” the option in the game’s settings, then change it at the menu and load back in - meaning you can get it in your first runthrough.

    Either way, it’s super easy.

Did Hellblade sell well? ›

Newsbrief: Ninja Theory's Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has surpassed 1 million copies sold across all platforms, according to a tweet shared by the developer. The game itself first launched for PlayStation 4 and PC in August 2017 before arriving on Xbox One in April 2018.

Does Hellblade have a difficulty achievement? ›

Difficulty does not affect any achievements. On to the guide! Find anything you think is wrong with this walkthrough?

Is there actually permadeath in Hellblade? ›

There's no permadeath. Once the rot reaches your head, the quest is over, you can no longer save Dillion. If you fail too many times the rot will progress up your arm and reach your head. This is absolutely true, but 'fail' is not a death count.

How many endings does Hellblade have? ›

Hellblade 2 only has one possible ending, even if you collect all the Lorestangir and Hidden Faces throughout the game. This is a linear story from start to finish, but the ending might still feel a bit confusing.

Will Hellblade 2 be bigger? ›

It's no surprise that, as a sequel, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is bigger and more expansive than the previous game.

How much of Senua is real? ›

It is unclear how much of Senua's journey is actually real and how much of it is based in the psychotic delusions of her mind. Though there are supernatural elements at play, all of Senua's experiences are based on her interpretations of the Norse stories that Druth told her.

Do I need to play Hellblade 1 before 2? ›

It has its gameplay flaws but remains must-experience for adult audiences. An instant classic for this generation.

Can you lose progress in Hellblade? ›

This is revealed to be a vision. Senua is still tainted by the rot, but it is low on her arm for now. At the end of the cutscene text appears, telling you that the rot will rise with each time you die, and if it reaches Senua's head the game is over and your progress will be lost.

What happens if you miss a Lorestone Hellblade? ›

Also worth noting is that collecting all 44 Lorestones affects the ending, so be sure to find them all to see the true ending. If you end up missing one Lorestone, you likely cannot go back and get it. Therefore, you will need to restart the game from the beginning and try again.

How many times can you fail in Hellblade Senua's sacrifice? ›

So, there's actually no limit to the number of times can you die in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, and the in-game message about permadeath is a fake-out.

The Secret Ending

There's also a secret ending to Hellblade, or rather an extra scene you can get. The extra scene features Druth and is unlocked at the final portal if you've found all the lorestones in the world. Druth reveals that he was lying to Senua throughout the story.
