A sweet, quick read that ends in a small cliffhanger. We just get enough of a taste of Cadence and Leo to cause a craving for more.
Cadence is struggling financially to take care of her sick mother and high school brother. Brother tries to help but just ends up putting them into a deeper financial pain with the Mafia. Leo, son of the Mafia head, offers a deal for Cadence to pay off her brothers debt. As a loving sister and a strong omega, she sees the deal through.
I am looking forward to book 2 and what will happen with Cadence and Leo.

This was a smutty, short omega/alpha romance!

I enjoyed this omega romance from author Leann Ryans. Cadence is such a strong character, I loved her drive to take care of her family.

This does feature coercing to have sex, and a mafia alpha, so do be aware of that.

Also, this was very short and felt more like a novella than a novel.

But overall this is a steamy, quick read!

I consider this a very enjoyable read. I did not want to put the book down. A bit of a Cinderella Tale with a big bit of reality. Very nicely written and story flowed very well. I will be watching for more books by this author. 😀.

Leo is just so hot and unexpected, how sweet he ends up being with her.

Commentary: This is a reworking of Illicit Deals (Proposition #1 and Proposition #2, which I read and enjoyed. Unfortunately, I didn't read #3 but I imagine it will be similar to the third book in this reimagined series.
I enjoyed Leo and Cadence, while being a little horrified that Leo would let her go through the whole auction process. I imagine he had to keep his father pacified though and maybe it was a turn-on for him as well. He does seem to care for her and the ending is smart, with him replicating their first interaction.

4.5 stars. This is a rewrite of a previously released contemporary romance but it’s been significantly expanded and changed.

Cadence, the female omega lead, has been holding her family together since her alpha father died when she was 12 and her omega mother fell apart at the loss of her bond mate. Already struggling with bills, she is devastated to find her teenage brother attempted to be a drug mule to help with finances and, having had his package stolen, has made their financial situation desperate. When Leo, the male alpha lead, offers her a place in an auction with the chance to clear more than what she owes his father, she has no choice but to accept.

Leo wanted Cadence from the moment he saw her and is willing to buy her time. They enjoy one intensely erotic night together and then Cadence returns to her life. But Leo isn’t willing to just let her go…

This novella is dual POV, well written, the first of a three part trilogy, and an intensely erotic omegaverse romance. I empathised with Cadence’s struggles and her care for her family. I was amused by Leo’s intense and confused reaction to Cadence. I enjoyed that he didn’t try to force her actions though he certainly “assisted” her choices. I enjoyed their intimate scenes and the impact that had on both of them, especially Leo. I’m enjoying their relationship development. This story ends with a HFN, as advertised, and I’m looking forward to the rest.

Cadence works hard now that her mother is so ill and her younger brother, Michael is still in high school. Her mother’s health slowly declined when her father died. Her mother is an omega who lost her mate. Her brother, trying to help, just makes everything worse. As a beta, he isn’t strong enough to fight Alphas. He started working as a delivery guy for the Galleons. Four alphas jumped him for the package that he had been trying to deliver for the Galleons. Now he owes them 22,000 for the items the package contained. Cadence tried to talk to the leader of the Galleons about it, thinking it was just a couple thousand, boy was she wrong. There is no way she could make up that money before they hurt her brother.

Leo is the son of the leader of the Galleons and he finds Cadence enthralling. So he comes up with a way to get what he wants and to save her brother. The usual gatherings of individuals like his family and where they could have their way with some omegas, etc. Once Leo finds out that Cadence is a virgin omega, he is happy to ask his cousin to stand in for the auction for him and win Cadence for him. He saves her brother, and he gets what he wants - her. Honestly, for someone in a “family’ Leo is a semi-stand up guy. Or at least he is with her.

I really enjoyed the story and Cadence and Leo are steamy together. I can’t wait for more books in this series, or set in this world.

The start of the Propositions of an Alpha series waiting on the second book in the series it is a short read under an hour or so but once you start you won’t stop till the last page is turned. Candence such a sweet, innocent for the most part over worked, tired, her life isn’t as she planned but when her father died her mother fell apart without her other half, and her teenage brother is a typical brother trying to be a help but more of a problem for her, and when he is hired to run packages he never thought he would be running drugs he assumed they were packages but when his get stolen he is on the hook and they are needing money ….lots of it to keep the mafia off his back. She tries to make a deal but without the money being requested what’s an omega to do but accept the offer presented. Leo sexy as all get out alpha next in line, his father is an alpha to not be messed with so when the beautiful, innocent omega comes to him to try plead her brother’s case he makes an offer that will clear what is owed and have a little extra (but in reality he wanted her for himself the only he could think to get her to agree). Leo buys her or pays for her time more like it ending in one night and back to her life only thing is he isn’t letting her go but will he understand the situation she is in, will he accept her mother, her brother since she won’t /can’t walk away leaving them to fend for themselves, and where are they headed (we have to wait for book two).

I really liked Cadence. She has a lot on her plate with having to deal with her sick mother and working two jobs. She will do anything for her family. So when her brother gets into some trouble with the mafia, she decided to deal with the problem herself to protect her brother.
Leo is super sexy with all his Alpha vibes. He is the son of the mafia boss and runs a nightclub. He's pretty much attracted to Cadence right away and loves her good girl and innocent demeanor so he takes it upon himself and offers her a proposition to pay back her brothers debt.
Cadence and Leo have one night together. Cadence may have been a virgin but deep down girl was excited and thrilled about everything that Leo was gonna be doing. The smexy scenes were super hot 🔥! After their one night together Cadence has to remind herself that it was nothing more then sex to pay her brothers debt, even though she is clearly caught feelings for Leo and doesn't believe him when he tells her he's not done with her.
The book does end on a slight cliffhanger, but nothing major. I'm looking forward to the second book and seeing what's in store for Cadence and Leo. Overall good book. Highly recommend. 😊

Leo Galleon sees Cadence and is immediately drawn to her. After finding out from his father that more girls are needed for the auction, Leo thinks the young omega will jump at the opportunity to participate and possibly pay off her debt and maybe make a little more to pay down on her mountain of bills. The proposal is just for one night. We all know what that means. Leo has decided that he has to have her and gets his cousin to bid on Cadence on his behalf. He has to be her first in everything. Omegas are made for Alphas and Cadence is no different. Will one night be enough?

This is a fast-paced omegaverse with mafia vibes featuring a possessive alpha male and a desperate young omega. Cadence Green has not had an easy upbringing and life becomes even more complicated when her brother owes an incredible amount of money to a notorious crime family. Leo Galleon is heir to his father’s enterprise and finds himself intrigued when Cadence shows up to try and work out a deal to pay off her brother’s debts. He has a special offer — participate in an auction where she promises 1 night to the highest bidder and get to earn half the money. Leo ensures he’ll win Cadence for the night, but he certainly didn’t expect to feel like he wanted more from her after that.

Leo and Cadence clearly have a very strong connection and I loved how sweet he was with her despite his hardened exterior. This was a short story that ends on a cliffhanger. It was over too soon! I’m looking forward to reading more.

This is the first time I've read a short omega book and I can't wait to read the next in this series it starts with Cadence who is responsible for her younger brother since her Dad died from him being a soldier which has also affected their mother badly because of her broken matebond which has caused large medical bills. Her brother thought he was helping them by delivering a "package" that got stolen, leaving Cadence owing the cost of said package. Already doing two jobs she's stuck until Alpha Leo says her being an Omega can go for a "good price" supposedly for a date but up to said parties what they do. With no other choice being a virgin Cadence is worth more so she's says yes but what type of Alpha will she get Leo is already attracted to her but it's his business and can't bid. Will it be a decant Alpha read this book to find out and have the good steamy chapters you get in an omegaverse book.
June the 18th can't get here quick enough for me to read what happens next from Leann Ryans.

First things first, I really enjoyed this book. I generally like omegaverse books, so that made that easy. Unfortunately though, these books often have a female lead that annoys me because they are meek or excessively submissive. That cannot be said for Cadence. She is a great main character and I very much enjoy her story. She's a sister who'll do anything for her brother and her family and I can appreciate that. Add on the fact that Leo, despite being a morally gray character, is still a good guy and you have a good set-up for an enjoyable romance.

I love the chemistry between the characters and I'm very glad I had the opportunity to read this. I look forward to the next books in the series so I can see how their relationship continues to grow. They aren't flat characters, so I know that this relationship will just have more twists and turns as it goes forward. It doesn't hurt anything. That the sexual chemistry between them is crazy hot and the scenes are well written.

Another sizzling story that you cannot put down! This was amazing like usual, LeAnn does such a great job with capturing your attention and this couple had such a raw attraction. This story was entertaining start to finish and I felt for this h so much. She had a hard life and maybe things were starting to turn...

I loved their hot connection. The sparks they had together...and he got his way after giving this poor h a scare! Her brother did something beyond stupid and this H had a moron for a dad for letting this teenager even do something like that. Having his sister pay up while he knows the feeling of his own bond? What a loser! I loved this couple and their passion was wonderful. This was another high heat read and I cannot wait for more!

This was a really sweet story. I loved Cadence she is sweet, kind, and loyal to her family. However as an Omega she has another sides shes never had time to explore. Leo is everything a gal would want; a bad boy with a sweet tooth and totally protective. I loved the chemistry between them. The story was fairly short but it definitely wet my appetite for more. I flew through the pages and couldn't wait to see what was going to go down between Cadence and Leo. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. This story was hot but things are bound to get spicier!.

Let me start by saying that this Is a MF Omegaverse. It is a super fast read. I really enjoyed the story I just wish it was longer. I love Leo. I found his Character very hot. I like Cadence's character also. This story left me wanting more. It did end on somewhat of a cliffhange so you will need to read the next book to see what happens with this couple next. I had to dock it a star because when I read an omegaverse I would like at least one Heat/rut scene and this book didn't have one. Even though I enjoyed the story and I am excited for the second book I just found that it lacked some Omegaversea dialog that I love to read about in Omegaverse books. That will not keep me from being invested in this couple though because they do have some steamy chemistry and I look forward to seeing how they grow as a couple.

With their medical bills and payments on the house, there was no way she could even attempt to pay that much. So he had to depend on his sister to bail him out by putting herself up for auction. Cadence is an untouched omega, and the man Leo, who suggested this means of paying off the debt, happened to be the one who wanted to purchase her charms. What a coincidence! Will she be permitted to walk away when the debt is paid? Or will Leo claim ownership forever?

I haven't read the previous version of this novella, so it's a whole new story for me. I liked Cadence, who turned out to be a strong young woman willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of her family. Even though some situations were against her delicate omega nature, she was ready to bite the bullet and face problems with her head held high. While the character of Cadence is quite well developed, in the case of Leo I feel unsatisfied. We don't really know much about him other than that he's dark, dangerous, and handsome.
It's a short and steamy read. I am waiting for the next book in the series.

I read this story as the contemporary Proposition #1 and I absolutely loved it then. But the changes and additional information that MS. Ryans put into this one it just was absolutely perfect. Cadence was such a sweet FMC. She is so loving , determined, strong, and definitely shows her caring side with her family. Leo while tough in all his alphaness you see a side you wouldn’t expect. The story is extremely well written and developed. It has amazing descriptions that pull you in. There is a ton of drama throughout. I absolutely think this is a must read and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Leann Ryans is a phenomenal author and I enjoy reading her books, but this book was by far one of her best.

Leo and Cadence��s story was electric! The way it started was not ideal, but every moment they spent together had me desiring for more. The heat between those two will leave your toes curling and unable to put the book down.

Cadence might have started doing this to save her brother but by the end that was no longer even relevant to me, I just wanted them to be together. This is a cliffhanger so be prepared to be left craving more. Excellent read can’t wait for the next book.

Leann writes a hot dark romance. It’s a quick read and I loved it. Sometimes having a brother was hard. He took a job with the local crime boss and lost the package of drugs. Mr. Galleon extends the due date. How was she going to get $22,000 in two weeks? She already is working two jobs. Her mother’s memory was fading fast. Mr. Galleon’s son comes to her with a way for her to earn the money. Show up for an event and take home half the price. Will she do it to save her brother? Can the crime boss’s son keep his prospective? I loved this book. Please read the trigger warnings prior to reading this great book. If you have no triggers I highly recommend this book!
