We moved the whole camp a little further north up Cooks Bay, and since the move the perching has been consistently good since Jan 10/11. As you can see from the video, our guests today were quite happy with their catches. This always makes us happy as well as we try hard to find the fish for our clients. The ice is now 12″ thick as you can see in the video. There is snow cover on the top of the ice which makes it easy going for ATV’s and Sleds. As with most fishing operators we try and keep the noise in the camp to a minimum as to not spook the fish. Cooks Bay is a shallow bay, although we are currently at 20 FOW. As it is fairly shallow, the vibrations and noise from sleds can at times disrupt the fishing. We ask all sledders to enjoy themselves but to respect the boundaries of our camp and motor up the lake from a distance away. We spoke to some of the sledders buzzing close to the camp and were surprised to note that they really didn’t know that their proximity might disrupt the fishing! I guess you learn as you go! We have some hut rentals available for Sunday Jan 16th so give us a call…hopefully our hot spot will last! Stay Safe! Whitey
