It was our pleasure to host Stuart McLean from CBC radio for his “ice fishing adventure”! We often get requests from those in the fishing industry for information on the lake and fishing conditions on the hard water. To our surprise, a real “storyteller” asked us to provide insight into what it means to participate in this great sport. It is not everyones cup of tea as we know, but as you will see from Stuarts comments, it means more than just fishing and being cold! The experience is one that is about camaraderie, sharing small spaces out in big open spaces, and getting back to the elements that surround us and feed our soul! You need not be an experienced fisherperson to enjoy what this experience has to offer. It is unique, refreshing and reinforces the wonder of the great outdoors.
